Founded way back in 1947, Wally's Café takes you back into another era.
The nightclub is located at the famed intersection of Massachusetts and Columbus Avenues. The area was once home to many of Boston's famous jazz clubs during the 1940s and 1950s.
It was established by Joseph L. Walcott. He was a Barbadian who came to America, the land of opportunities in 1910. After switching jobs, he invested the money he had earned in a night club. He became the first African- American to own a night club in New England. He enlivened the night club with new and exciting music.
Open 365 days a year, the night club is an attraction for Jazz fans. Exciting night life includes music, disco and dance.
It is considered a “training ground” for budding musicians they are given a platform to showcase their talent.
