Glide along the water like prince and princess from a fairy tale in the Swan Boats.
The Swan Boat is a paddle boat decorated like a swan. From mid April to mid September you can avail of these boats which take you into a dream world. The Swan Boats are part of the lush Boston Public Garden.
To Bostonians the Swan Boats herald the advent of Spring. The beauty of this place has been immortalized in the famous children's story "Make Way for Ducklings."
Established in 1837, the Public Garden is the first botanical garden in the USA. Its green plants are a feast to the eyes. Flower beds are a riot of colors and the air is heavy with their fragrance. Numerous works of public art adorn its winding paths that skirt its three acre lagoon. In 1859, by an Act of the Massachusetts Legislature, the Public Garden was preserved forever as an open space for citizens.
