Childs Gallery

Childs Gallery brings master pieces of art right from the renaissance to the present time, to Boston's doorstep. It holds pride of place as the largest repository of oil paintings, drawings, watercolors, prints and sculpture in the United States.

It was founded way back in 1937, by Charles D Childs, in Newbury Street in Boston. With 20 years of experience of working in art galleries, Charles D Childs created a unique and beautiful museum—a store house of treasure.

Its collection of works of priceless art reflects impeccable taste and gives the average middle class connoisseur of art, an opportunity to collect objects of art which would otherwise have been out of his range.

The Childs Gallery Bulletin has been a reference source quoted by the New York Historical Society Dictionary of American Painters and Who Was Who in American Art.

Hours : Tuesday through Friday 9am- 6pm, Monday and Saturday 10am- 5pm.
