Yoga Studio brings the ancient art of India to attain physical fitness and spiritual bliss, to Boston. Established in 1980, it is the oldest institution in Boston devoted to the practice of Hatha Yoga. The studio has hardwood floors and plenty of fresh air and light. Students are provided with Yoga mats and other props which are necessary.
Through physical exercises yoga helps relieve tension of the mind and provides a balm for aching muscles. Yoga is taught by a faculty of experienced teachers who are experts in the subject.
Different styles of yoga are taught to different students. Though each style has its own distinct approach, all methods compliment each other. Finding the right "fit" depends on many factors. We encourage you to read about the different methods and chose the method which most suits your lifestyle.
A typical class begins with breathing and relaxation exercises followed by a flowing series of yoga asanas (postures) that range from gentle movement to rigorous workout. Classes are available at several levels to accommodate the varied skills of our students, whether they are new to yoga or experienced. The atmosphere in classes is casual and supportive with class sizes varying from 5- 30 students.
