Pizza fans should head for Pizzeria Regina. It has witnessed the history and growth of the city since 1926. A family owed restaurant, it is the pride of Polcari family.

Today Anthony Polcari personally supervises everything in the restaurant. His claim of years ago, “I give the best that I can make”, since its humble beginnings in 1926, it has stood the test of time and registered enormous growth. Regina's has expanded its scope to include other outposts in Massachusetts, Virginia, Kentucky, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Florida, the Thacher Street branch remains the Polcari family's restaurant jewel.

The original parlor with its red vinyl booths has old world charm and grace. The highlight of the restaurant is a gas fueled brick oven which was built in 1888, and still operates.

The pizza itself is thin- crusted, slightly greasy, heavily sauced and full of cheese - - but order by the pie, not the slice, or your options for toppings will be minimal. Beer is served by the pint or the pitcher, which attracts everyone
