The Boston Pride Committee

The Boston pride committee caters to those who have their own approach to life like gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT)

It strives hard to create public awareness and recognition for the LGBT community so that they do not feel like outcasts in society and can live their life with dignity and respect. For this purpose it holds a week of fun and entertaining events each June.

Over 100 Merchandise Vendors, Community Groups, Great Music and Food Vendors make for your enjoyment. One of the highlights of the festival is Hedda Lettuce who has you in splits with her wit. The legendary pop and dance icon Shannon, belts out hit songs while Reina enthralls you with her performance.

Parking is at a premium during Pride, so consider taking public transportation when attending events. If you want to participate in the festival you can enroll as a volunteer.

In annual youth pride, following the rally, the Boston Women's Rainbow Chorus will perform numbers from The Wizard of Oz and The Wiz as our 'Lollipop Kids' prepare to set off along the red- brick Freedom Trail, past the golden 'Oz- like' dome of the Massachusetts State House and through the streets of Downtown Boston.
