Historic Boston possesses a rich cultural heritage. It was also known as ‘Cradle of American Revolution'. The Boston Harborfest, a week long 4th of July festival brings to life the cultural and maritime history of Boston.
On its 25th year the festival infuses a feeling of patriotism amongst visitors and they feel proud of having been born as Americans. In 1982, it hosted 35 activities within a span of three days. Now you can enjoy more than 200 activities in the course of a single day.
You can visit the US naval ships or watch the mammoth USS Constitution as she sails into the Harbor during her annual ‘turn around' cruise.
City hall is the focal point of many activities. Children's Day is just one of the over 200 events taking place during the 25th Annual Boston Harborfest, June 28– July 4, 2006.
Free admission to over half of the events makes the celebration accessible to all.
