The theatre can accommodate about 1,600 people. Dubbed as Boston theatre district's “Little Princess”, it is home to many local community and organization. The Shubert Theatre also serves as a venue for the touring companies that present Broadway, theater, music, dance, and opera.
It was built way back in 1910. In its long and illustrious career, the theatre has staged many quality productions in 1996; this charming theatre underwent a 3 million dollar renovation. It boasts of superb acoustics.
Recent productions include 'Cats', 'The Buddy Holly Story', 'Smokey Joe's Cafe', 'Rent' and 'Bring In Da Noise', 'Bring In Da Funk'.
