Opened in 1977, Paradise Rock Club has stood the test of time. It is one of the premier rock and roll clubs of Boston. This famed club will go down in the history of rock as the first venue in which U2 performed while touring the US.
It hosted some of rock's elite including: The Police, AC / DC, Blondie, REM, The Jam, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Dire Straits, Billy Joel, INXS, Tom Waits, Tom Club, Television, Mission of Burma, Cheap Trick, Joe Jackson, Rage Against the Machine, The Pixies, Joe Strummer.
Capable of accommodating around 650 people, it boasts of premium quality stage, light and sounds. To top it all, the tickets are reasonably priced and don't burn a big hole into your pocket. If you are having hunger pangs, enjoy a meal at the Paradise Lounge. All their menu items are priced at .95 from 5p- 8p.
If you are weary of dancing then head upstairs and relax on comfortable couches. Though known for rock and roll performance, it also hosts pop and local artists. Many national superstars of the music world have graced its stage.
U2, Van Halen, Chris Isaak, Indigo Girls, Lenny Kravitz, Peter Gabriel, Cyndi Lauper, Hootie & the Blowfish and the Black Crowes have mesmerized the audience.
