This unique museum pays homage to the automobile, the advent of which revolutionized our life style.
It is located in the monumental Carriage House which was home to Larry and Isabel Anderson.
Presently, the house boasts of the country's oldest car collection. It showcases the Andersons' collection (which began in 1899), and also features exhibits relating to how the automotive history has influenced society and culture. Numerous lectures, events and tours ensure informative fun for all ages.
The park itself is a riot of colors and basks in the glory of nature. It contains colorful flowering trees, emerald green grass and lush foliage.
The museum helps you to trace the history and growth of the automobile. You can glean valuable information about the first racing cars and revel in a collection of vintage cars.
The library and archives is an excellent source of information concerning Larz and Isabel Anderson, their automobiles and carriages, and their Brookline estate named Weld.
It also operates a Gift Shop which is open to the public during museum hours. Members receive %10 off most merchandise.
Museum Admission is for adults, for students and seniors free for children less than 6 years.
Hours: Tue- Sun 10am- 5pm.
