Gibson House Museum, a National Historic Landmark is one of the most gracious houses from an era when life was a rainbow of colors and art and culture flourished.

Constructed in 1859, the Gibson House was the home of Charles Hammond Gibson. After his death the family converted the house into a museum. It threw open its doors to the public in 1957. A magnificent structure made of brown stone and red brick, its interiors take your breath away. The original décor has been retained as far as possible giving it an old world charm.

The collections are a treasure house of family possession accumulated over three generations. They give us valuable insights into the lives of this unique family as well as showcase the art and culture of the Victorian era.

The collection boast of textiles, lightings, tools, paintings, prints, furniture's, decorative arts, books etc. Musical concerts are organized as events in the museum.

Admission: (Students & Seniors, ; Children, )
The Museum is closed New Year's Day, the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
